Art show prints for sale.

I had an art show in November and made up ten limited high quality photo posters of all of the reference shots for the paintings. I still have a few left for sale at 15 dollars each. Each photo is 5" by 7" which brings the total size to around 23" by  27" and is on thick paper which almost feels like card stock. Please email me at jessica.upton@gmail.com for ordering and details, I'd love to see them go to good homes. <3

Ayla in colour.

Ayla has been a client of mine for longer than just about anyone else and lately our social paths have brought us closer together. She's a sweet, beautiful and a talent designer as well as a strong model. Shooting Ayla was easy, the only challenge was lighting her lovely apartment while still giving myself room to shoot.

Little Bear

Claire and I had a photoshoot last week which tested my skill a little more than I was hoping for. During the set up, my light bulb (my only light bulb) smashed in my hands forcing us to take pictures in the very last moments before the sun went down. These are the shots I liked, I'll be shooting Clare again in B&W, lights and all, soon.

Om 10. Johanna/Luke/Ayla

While taking my Medium format out for these lovely friends of mine, I also used (mim's) trusty om10 to campure longer shots in which I could not get into frame with the Mamiya. I know you're all sick of the Brit and the Swede (kidding!), so This is also my preview of my shoot with Ayla. Enjoy!

smile in your sleep

These are my colour shots from shooting Luke. After a nearly impossible time trying not to laugh, I just went with it. Lately I've been shooting the colour first as most people need to get their giggles out. I find the dreamy tones add a certain sweetness to the awkward first shots, by the time I switch, my friends are letting me pull them in any direction and I generally get the lengthier more ethereal photos.
B&W and Mimmi later this week.
All shot on my 645pro.

Last post for a while.

Hey everyone. As some of you know, I also paint. I'm getting ready to have a painting show based on some of the photos I took between 2008-2009 of people's hair for the salon. As some of you also know, I'm not done because this summer has been riding me creatively and painting has been on the back burner. Since that has to change as of right this moment, I'm not going to be taking anymore photos until I'm done those pieces. So here are my double exposures from Hawaii as a send off.
